Dylan found a kitten and she is probably the cutest thing alive. Right now she really likes to hide. We spent 20 minutes looking in Dylan's apartment for her and just when we sat down, giving up for the moment, we heard a little Meow. She had crawled into his box spring under his bed. Silly kitty!
Is she not the cutest thing you have ever seen!

Boom Boom Pow
I am pretty confident that to be a Stout is synonymous with being a pyro. That being said every fourth of July we like to either light things on fire or blow them up. Derek and Kody went to Wyoming this year and bought a lot of fun fire works so we had a lot of fun. Here is a peak at what life is like in the Stout house the weekend of the fourth!
2. Misfire. Whoops.
3. The Headless Ken. I made him the yellow underwear so he wouldn't feel too exposed. Oh and that wet stuff in the box: it is gasoline... hehehe.
4. After multiple attempts of shooting bottle rockets without success, we tried a ground flower.
5. Success. The fire looks like 2 people dancing. We are still fascinated with this!
6. Champion Dylan, poor Ken didn't stand a chance.
1. Our next victim, G.I.JOE (he lost his legs in a previous battle)
2. Surrounded by tanks. He also didn't stand much of a chance.
3. Ready. Aim. Fire.
4. He looks a little like Anakin right here.
5. He Army jacket protected him, some.
6. Crawl away Joe!
This guy also was included in our fun.
Derek realized that we are like Sid in Toy Story...

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 30
Your favorite song at this time last year
I could not for the life of me think of what my favorite song was last year but I do know I was obsessed with this song for a while. Love it.
Poker Face- Glee Version - Not so much Lady Gaga's
YAY. I did it. Last day. Last song. Hope you had as much fun as I did!
30 Day Song Challenge: Day 29
A song from your childhood
I can remember riding the bus to school listening to this song. I had no idea the music video was so awesome.
Waterfalls- TLC
30 Day Song Challenge: Day 28
A random song on itunes
I didn't like whatever this category was (I can't remember what it was) so I changed it. I love to play this little game on itunes where I think of a category like "my day today" or "my love life" and then I push shuffle on my itunes and the song that comes up is the song for that category. I think it is fun, really fun actually. I have been doing it for years. So that is where this post came from. I didn't pick category before pushing shuffle, so you can come up with what you think it should be!
Blue Ridge Mountains- Fleet Foxes
30 Day Song Challenge: Day 27
A song you wish you could play
This one is pretty much self explanatory. It is beautiful and lovely and I wish I had mad piano skills.
Claire de Lune - Claude Debussy
sick sick sick
I was doing a great job of blogging everyday.
Then I got sick.
Really really sick.
It sucked.
It still kinda sucks.
I just want to be better.
Did I mention it is also finals week.
Ya...
But I am going to live.
Also I am going to finish my 30 day song challenge.

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 26
A song you can play on an instrument.
I have to be completely honest. I was going to put Walkie Talkie Man by Steriogram, because at one time in my life I learned how to play the chorus on the guitar, but if you asked me to play it now I don't think I could really do it. So in reality I really only know how to play Heart and Soul and Chopsticks on the piano. Just like everyone else. The saddest part is I just learned how to play chopsticks a few weeks ago because as a kid my mom told us we could never play that song in her house. Probably for a good reason because when I learned it,( while my mom was out and I kindly taught it to Niques and Dezi, Your welcome mom) we played it over and over and over until even I was getting a little sick of it.
Heart and Soul and Chopsticks in the best rendition ever imagined.

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 25
A song that makes you laugh.
Without fail every time I hear this song I laugh, not because the song is funny but because I think of one night in the dorms. And what an epic night it was. Instead of trying to describe it to you, I thought I would show you why this song makes me laugh.
Ladies and Gentlemen, for the first time, may I introduce to you the beautiful Natalie, and the charming Dannielle in their rendition of COMING CLEAN.
Coming Clean- Hilary Duff

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 24
A song you would play at your funeral.
This may sound extremely morbid and slightly disturbing, but I have actually put a lot of thought into my funeral lately.
Thought 1: I don't want to be buried. I don't like to be in confined spaces, I have this fear of waking up inside of the grave and I love the idea of being set free to fly in the wind (cremation of course, how creepy would it be to send a dead body out into the wide open only to have it come crashing down).
Thought 2: Instead of a boring old funeral where people cry and morn my death I want to have a celebration gallery featuring everything I have created throughout my life. Maybe not Everything, but all of the good stuff!
Which leads me to the song of the day, If all of these wishes come true than this song must be played at my funeral/celebration/gallery/launching party:
I Feel Good- James Brown
5 Years Ago Today.
Five years ago today, 6.6.6, I graduated from high school.
After Derek's graduation last week I have been inspired, and I have been doing a lot of reminiscing!!
It was fantastic. The best part is I am still friends with all of these girls!
EVEN BETTER: In 5 months I will will graduating from BYU!
(I get to parade in the cap and gown in 2 months! wee)
It only took me 5 years to complete my bachelors, and with how many times I switched my major I think that is just peachy. Let the countdown to Graduation begin.

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 23
A song you want to play at your wedding.
I don't know what else needs to be said about this song except this.
Frank Sinatra.
The Way You Look Tonight- Frank Sinatra.

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 22
A song you listen to when you are sad.
Like I have said before I don't have a depressing playlist generally but I do have certian songs for different sad things. This is a general "I am kinda sad today" song. I think it is really pretty. I really like pretty sounding songs when I am sad. Actually I like pretty sounding songs all the time. I also love when artists have a song that is completely different from the rest of their songs. Like this little number from Mika. Who knew?
Mika- Any Other World
Procrastination can be fun
Hello!
End of the term here.
You know what that means, Time to finally do those projects and papers I have been procrastinating all term. Since I had to spend the whole day reading and researching I thought I would at least try and enjoy the summer weather that has finally arrived.
My favorite study spot was taken, so I explored until I found this little spot by the river.
What lovely little spot to study without distractions.
Ok, with less distractions.
30 Day Song Challenge: Day 21
A song you listen to when you are happy.
Things that are happy- classic old songs- attractive men dancing- JGL- references to Star Wars-
This song is so happy, and even more fun to listen to when you feel just like this....
You Make My Dreams Come True - Hall and Oates

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 20
A song you listen to when you are angry-
I powerful music when I am angry, something that will fuel my passion. Muse has gotten me through plenty of angry times.
You want to know what I am not angry about right now. Finding this version of the song. I think it is even better. Thank you Mr. Roy Burns for doing this, and thank you YouTube for putting this as the first thing that comes up when searching: Muse Apocalypse Please official video.
Apocalypse Please - Muse

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 19
A song from your favorite album
Instead of strait up favorite I though of this as most played album. I couldn't think of anything (besides maybe Moulin Rouge) that I play more than Wicked. While listening you can't help but belt out the songs at loud as you can, doing the I am singing like a star hand motions and pretend you are a Broadway star. Ya, Ok, I am that girl on the freeway...
I could probably pick any song from this album and be happy with it but what is better than a love song.
As Long as Your Mine - Wicked

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 18
A song you wished you heard on the radio.
I don't think I hear this song on the radio (like I said I listen to oldies and classical when the radio is on) but I love it. I would love to hear it on the radio; and after watching this performance I am REALLY excited to see them this summer at the twilight concert series. They look like total hippies. AWESOME.
Home - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 17
A song you often hear on the radio:
I am really not much of a radio listener, and when I do listen to the radio my top two stations are oldies and classical so I guess if I was being completely honest I would have to say that I hear Mrs. Robinson a lot. But when I do flip to different "age appropriate" (whatever) channels I like when I hear this song. I like it a lot. Adele is on fire these days.
Thank you Adele for making popular music that is actually musical and fantastic.
Rolling in the Deep- Adele

Hairography
So I have now logged almost 28 hours of work this weekend, and I think I may have lost my mind around hour 20. Which means I find things much more entertaining and cool than usual. Also I stumble a lot. Today I found this cool Hairography on some random girl's blog and I thought it was really cool. So I thought I would create my own, by taking a look at my past hair styles. Also I have learned I make a lot of funny faces.
Top Row:
1. London Hair- Very strait, long and my natural color. I loved how long my hair was!
2. Senior Year- I got a perm right before I started my senior year and played around with dark colors the first half of the year. This is probably the best my hair has ever looked. It actually held curl.Neat.
3. I started going lighter towards the end of the year. I loved this color.
4. Favorite Coloring. I loved the chunks of blonde. Loved it.
5. Shortly after starting at BYU I went back to the dark, and it started to loose it's desire to curl again.
Row 2:
1. This is basically what my hair looked like my entire freshman year.
2. As summer came, I was back at the pool getting tan and my hair naturally got much lighter.
3. Itching for a change, whipsy bangs are always the answer.
4. Fall darkens my hair and I went for more blunt bangs
5. The BIG change. After years of debating it I finally chopped off my hair into a lovely a-line bob. It was so invigorating.
Row Three:
1. The long Italian bob. I loved everything about being in italy, even my hair, it was the perfect cut to be living over seas. Easy to do, fun to wear.
2. After I got home from Italy I thought it would be a good Idea to cut it all one length, the shortest. Probably the only cut I regret. But It was cute once it grew out a bit like here.
3. I mostly put this in because it is funny to me. But hair is growing, and I began growing out my bangs.
4. The LONG growth process.
5. Full side bangs. I love these almost as much as my now bangs. I think the fuller the bangs on me the better.
Row Four:
1. As I grow out I play with color more because I need change. This was a deep redish purple that was really fun.
2. The Bangs finally grew out. This was the first time since I was about 14 that I hadn't had some sort of bang. It was fun. But only for a while.
3. Dark. Again. This is my Favorite color (not including the chunks of course).
4. If you can not tell by the look in my eyes in this picture I was not happy with this hair. I like long but I needed a little something to give it some pow: like this:
5. Best. Bangs. Ever. I love these bangs. Full, real bangs. I think it helps hide my large forehead, or maybe frames my long face, but I love love love this cut. So I am keeping it for awhile.
